Amelia (Mimi) J. Robinson- a resident of Cortlandt Manor and formerly of Ossining passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 23, 2020.
Amelia was born in Ossining on July 6, 1935 and was the daughter of the late Michael and Viola (Gioio) Lobus.
She was 84.
Amelia was a graduate of Ossining High School, Class of 1953.
She married David Collins Robinson at St. Ann’s Church in Ossining on November 17, 1957. David predeceased her on July 19, 2017.
For many years Amelia and her husband David lived in Warren, OH, Watertown, NY, Southfield MI and then settled in Cortlandt Manor with her family.
Mimi was a graduate with honors from Jefferson Community College in Watertown, with an Associates in Liberal Arts.
Amelia had a birdhouse building business with her twin sister Rosemarie Stephens for many years. She also worked with the Lakeland School District in the cafeteria with her sister Rosemarie for many years.
She enjoyed Big Band Music and art, especially painting.
Mimi was the former owner of Long Branch Diner in Champion, OH and the Bridgeview Motel near the Thousand Islands Bridge in NY.
Mrs. Robinson is survived by her four children Celine (Ronnie) Karabinos, Stephanie (Rich) Frommelt, David G., and Sheila (Anthony) De Rosa; her sister Gail (George) Fiero; 5 grandchildren Andrea (Paul) Valentino, Eric, Karabinos, Adam Karabinos and Elaina Karabinos, and Richie Frommelt; She was also survived by many beloved nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
She was predeceased by her sister Catherine Siciliano and her twin sister Rosemarie Stephens.
