Died peacefully April 21, 2020
Catherine M. O’Rourke, fondly remembered by family and friends as Katie, died peacefully in her sleep at St. John’s Riverside Hospital in Yonkers on Tuesday, April 21, 2020.
She was born to the late John and Catherine Duggan in New York City.
Katie was a loving mother, sister and aunt.
She is survived by her son, Michael, her brothers, Fr. Michael A. Duggan, M.M. and Charles Duggan and her sisters-in-law Lois Duggan and Eileen Duggan. She is also survived by nieces and nephews Tricia Cerridwen, Charlene Cerridwen (Anton), Stephen Dombroski-Gargiulo (Tina), Christine Dombroski, Marie Parrish (David), Rita Duggan (Frank), Cassandra Duggan and Christopher Duggan (Nel), great nieces and nephews Kyla, Sara, Andrew, Olivia, Gracie and Jack as well as many cousins.
She was pre-deceased by her loving husband Jerry, her sisters Laura and Marie and her brothers John and Joseph.
Katie was always present for her family and friends to share her wisdom and great laughter.
She was a communicant of St. Augustine Church in Ossining, NY and was a founding member of the St. Augustine Golden Eagles.
She will be remembered fondly by all she met during her life.
