Due to COVID-19 protocol, a private family service will be held graveside at St. Augustine Cemetery, Ossining, NY.
The family would like to thank Wilson Caster for the exceptional kindness and care he gave Louis while he was his caregiver.

Passed away April 17, 2020
Louis Joseph Tambone, beloved brother and uncle, passed away peacefully on Friday, April 17, 2020 from COVID-19.
He was 89 years old.
He was born in Tuckahoe, New York and graduated from Tuckahoe High School where he excelled in various sports.
Louis is a U.S. Army veteran who served in the Korean War assigned to the 330th Communications Reconnaissance Company earning the Korean Service Medal with two Bronze Stars.
Louis loved his nieces and nephews unconditionally.
Louis was employed by General Motors in Tarrytown, NY for 30 years until his retirement in 1982.
He was a remarkable athlete and shared his love of sports by always making time to mentor anyone. Louis was an outstanding bowler and one of his many accomplishments was being a member of the elite 300 club (perfect game). Throughout his bowling career he was a competitor, coach, mentor, friend and teammate who was loved and admired by many. He was very proud of the young bowlers he coached through the years and shared in the joy of their successes. He was inducted into the Greater Danbury USBC Hall of Fame in 1996. He was an avid New York Yankees and Notre Dame football fan.
Louis is survived by two brothers Vincent (Catherine) Tambone of Hopewell Junction, NY and Joseph Tambone (Vivian-deceased) of Eastchester, NY; nephews Santo (Laura) Tambone, Frank (Jane) Tambone, Santo Tambone (Denise-deceased), Leonard (Maureen) Tambone; nieces Priscilla (Jonathan) Head, Carol Pizzuti (Mario-deceased), Sandra (Christopher) Hanak, Ann Marie (Gary) Rozmus; grandnephews and grandnieces Michael (Dee Dee) Tambone, Nicholas (Michelle) Tambone, Michael Pizzuti, Mark Pizzuti, Robert Tambone, Catherine Rozmus, Anthony Rozmus; great grandniece Sophia Tambone.
Louis was preceded in death by his parents Santo and Alesandra Tambone of Tuckahoe, NY; brother Frank Tambone and sister-in-law Katherine Tambone; grandniece Catherine Head.
