Visiting hours will be held Sunday from 2 to 5 PM at Dorsey Funeral Home, 14 Emwilton Place, Ossining.
The Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday at 10 AM at St. Augustine’s Church in Ossining.
Interment to follow at St. Augustine Cemetery.

Joseph (John) Taxiera

Taxiera, (John) Joseph of Ossining died suddenly on Friday, February 10, 2017.
Joe was born in Tarrytown on April 23, 1947 and was the son of the late Joseph and Ellen (Gramby) Taxiera. He was 69.
Joe was a member of the Ossining High School class of 1965 and a graduate of the School of Visual Arts in Manhattan.
Joe was a communicant of St. Augustine’s Church. From December 1966 to June 2013 he was a member of the Ossining Fire Department, Ossining Hose Company No. 1. During that time he served as Captain and Commissioner. He was presently a dispatcher for the fire department.
Joe was a graphic artist with O’Donnell Productions and a freelance graphic artist for the Port Authority and PATH.
Joe is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Phyllis, and by his sons John (Megan) and Marc; by five grandchildren David (Krystal) Dunn, Jessica, Tristan, Kiersten and Austin; by his brothers Frank (Michelina) and Harold (Virginia) and several nieces and nephews.
