Eileen M. D’Addario
Died Tuesday, October 25, 2016
Eileen M. D’Addario, 78, of Fishkill, died Tuesday, October 25, 2016 peacefully at home. She was born in Yonkers, NY, the daughter of the late Michael and Eileen O’Brien Burke.
Eileen graduated from Commerce High School in Yonkers, NY.  She began working at AT'T after graduation and then got a job at Otis Elevator Company. There, she met her beloved husband Anthony D’Addario.  They were married in 1961 and spent 55 wonderful years by each other’s sides.  If you ever saw Eileen, you knew Tony had to be close by.  They were inseparable.
Eileen had one son, Michael D’Addario, a daughter-in-law Stephanie, and three grandsons, Mickey, Matty, and Mackey.  When her grandsons were younger, Eileen and Tony spent a lot of weekends babysitting for them.  They enjoyed playing cards, reading books, and watching sports on TV.  As Eileen watched her grandsons grow, her heart was filled with pride for their accomplishments. She never missed one of their school concerts, award ceremonies, or baseball games. Her most enjoyable days were spent with her family, including her grand-dogs.
In addition to spending time with her family, Eileen loved to travel.  Along with her husband, Eileen had wonderful vacations in Europe, including Italy, Ireland, and France.  Closer to home, she enjoyed visiting Boothbay Harbor, Maine and Cape Cod, Massachusetts. Eileen also loved to read, especially about history, and enjoyed doing the crossword puzzles each day.
Eileen was predeceased by her parents, her brother Richard Burke, and her brother-in-law Leonard G. D’Addario.  In addition to her immediate family, Eileen is survived by many cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
