Markey, Maureen Storz, of Scarsdale, NY
The best mother, grandmother, wife and friend a person could ever ask for passed away on January 16, 2015 after a courageous battle.
Born in the Bronx on August 5, 1946 to John and Audrey Markey. Raised in Scarsdale, NY. Maureen attended the Ursuline School, Niagara University and received her R.N Degree from United Hospital School of Nursing. Survived by husband Ralph Rogers, Daughters Megan Supple (husband John) and Christy Gotto, Brother John Jay Markey, Grandsons Ryan Gotto and Connor and Brendan Supple, Step-Son Terrell Rogers.
Her professional life focused on psychiatric nursing and addiction. After many years with United Hospital, she established a private practice in Scarsdale, NY where she helped countless people through their struggles with addiction as well as mental health issues. Her devotion, compassion and positive outlook made her shine and she touched all that were blessed to know her with her amazing smile and spirit.
She is predeceased by her parents and her step-son Reggie.
She took great pride in her home and loved gardening and birds. She wants to express her thanks to the staff at White Plains Hospital Center and the Dickstein Pavilion for the compassion and excellent care she received as she fought her battle.
